dreading news

dreading newsNot long ago, the drug enforcement authorities confiscated eight kilos of high grade cocaine inside a courtyard at old the airport in our area. This is actually very dreading news. If this illegal drug was not found and goes out in the black market, more lives will be endanger and destroyed.

By definition, drug addiction is a state of periodic or chronic intoxication produced by the repeated consumption of a drug. It is a big threat for everyone everywhere. It destroys the capability of an individual to think clearly and strips him of his morality. And the statistics shows that the number of drug dependent is increasing despite the number of available facilities and campaign against drug addiction.

For families who have loved one who is hooked on drugs, medication and behavioral therapy in drug rehab centers is the only remedy. When the two is combined are the important elements of the success an overall therapeutic process. Also, the help and proper coordination of families can greatly affect the success of treatment programs.

dresses that looks good and fabulous

dresses that looks good and fabulousMy future sister-in-law is asking wiffy to buy her a dress for her Christmas party. Even though I am a man, I do actually know the kind of dresses that looks good and those that doesn’t qualify for a party. Secretly, I search for Vera Wang dresses that she might like. I will just find an alibi how I find this dress at the time I suggest it.

I found a lot of this dresses online and told wiffy about it. But, she said it is a bit pricey for a gift. And her sister is still a student. So, it would not be practical to purchase this dress for a single party. I leave the decision to her since it is her sister anyway.

As for me, I’ll just look for new gadgets and software and so on. This is a good time to update whatever that needs updating.

amazing octopus

amazing octopusRecent study have surprised scientists, when an octopus and its coconut-carrying antics scoop up halved coconut shells before scampering away with them so they can later use them as shelters. The team says it is the first example of tool use in octopuses.

One of the researchers, Dr Julian Finn from Australia’s Museum Victoria, told BBC News: “I almost drowned laughing when I saw this the first time.” He added: “I could tell it was going to do something, but I didn’t expect this – I didn’t expect it would pick up the shell and run away with it.”

The veined octopuses (Amphioctopus marginatus) were filmed between 1999 and 2008 off the coasts of Northern Sulawesi and Bali in Indonesia. The bizarre behaviour was spotted on four occasions.

The eight-armed beasts used halved coconuts that had been discarded by humans and had eventually settled in the ocean. Dr Mark Norman, head of science at Museum Victoria, Melbourne, and one of the authors of the paper, said: “It is amazing watching them excavate one of these shells. They probe their arms down to loosen the mud, and then they rotate them out.”

After turning the shells so the open side faces upwards, the octopuses blow jets of mud out of the bowl before extending their arms around the shell – or if they have two halves, stacking them first, one inside the other – before stiffening their legs and tip-toeing away.

Dr Norman said: “I think it is amazing that those arms of pure muscle get turned into rigid rods so that they can run along a bit like a high-speed spider.  “It comes down to amazing dexterity and co-ordination of eight arms and several hundred suckers.”

getting rid of dark circles

getting rid of dark circlesI thought that when I get out of the hospital I will be able to get rid of the dark circles around my eyes. However, I am wrong. The more than eight hours of sleep I spent to heal my wound is actually not sufficient. So, I decided to finally search for the reason that I have dark circles under eyes even though I am not that vain. I don’t want to look haggard anymore.

Based on my researched, the dark circles are oxidizing hemoglobin that begins in the tiny capillaries around the eyes. The red blood cells sometimes have to line up, single file, to get through. However, red blood cells frequently get lost and wander into the surrounding skin. When the hemoglobin is broken down, its remaining components have a dark blue-black color. In short, the leaky capillaries cause our dark under-eye circles.

So, even if I sleep 24 hours a day that would not necessarily mean I will lose those dark circles. The only way to get rid of them is with the help of eye creams. The problem is that I don’t want to buy those. And I don’t know if all eye creams is unisex.

just got interested about it

just got interested about itYesterday, the other trainees and I say our goodbye to the orthopedic section of the hospital. It is actually our last day in that department. We had a little celebration and off we go. Some of the stuff told me that the general surgery staff is very different from them. She adds that they are not bubbly, friendly and some other negative comments. Well, I will never know until I experience it myself.

Before that, I just rest and take a look around the web to see if I can see something interesting, which I did. I found a bariatric exam tables that are used to medically treat big and tall and obese. I have seen lots of these in the hospital because we do have big patients. I just got interested about it as I get across to it.

20% ownership of Suzuki Motor acquired by Volkswagen

20% ownership of Suzuki MotorAccording to the news, Germany’s Volkswagen (VW) is to buy a 20% stake in Japan’s Suzuki Motor for 222.5bn yen ($2.5bn; £1.5bn). Suzuki said it would acquire a stake in VW in return, spending “up to one half” of the funds it receives on VW shares. In a joint statement the two carmakers said that they had “reached a common understanding to establish a close long-term strategic partnership”.

Analysts said VW was keen to utilise Suzuki’s expertise in making small, fuel efficient cars. VW, Europe’s largest carmaker, is due to buy its stake in Suzuki by February.

VW chief executive Martin Winterkorn said in the news that the two of the world’s leading carmakers are joining forces and preparing to meet the growing challenges that lie ahead. Together they can maximise our opportunities for growth. An alliance between the two carmakers would sell more cars than Toyota, the world’s largest carmaker.

During the January to June period this year, Volkswagen’s and Suzuki’s combined sales reached 4.4 million sales, well ahead of Toyota’s 3.6 million cars sold. Car industry analyst Chizuko Satsukawa, of Standard & Poor’s, said the deal would give Suzuki welcome access to investment funds. “Financially speaking, it’s helpful for Suzuki to have a partner to invest in future technologies,” said Mr Satsukawa.
