Supposedly this is not the time for me to update. I just have a little time to surf the web for shoe pads. My feet are hurting from the wrong shoes I bought a few days ago so I really have to sit in from of my computer. Since, I’m already online I snatched few minutes to do some posts.

Before I find the shoe pads I’m looking for, I came across reid supply. The energy burst is still visible by telescope more than two-and-a-half months later, the researchers said. The Swift spacecraft constantly scans the skies for bursts of radiation, notifying astronomers when it locates a potential flare. These bursts usually indicate the implosion of an ageing star, which produces a single, quick blast of energy. But this event first spotted on 28 March 2011 and designated Sw 1644+57, does not have the marks of an imploding sun.

What intrigued the researchers about this gamma ray burst is that it flared up four times over a period of four hours. Astrophysicist Dr Andrew Levan from the University of Warwick, and his colleagues suspected that they were looking at a very different sort of galactic event; one where a passing star got sucked into a black hole.

Black holes are thought to reside at the centers of most major galaxies. Some black holes are surrounded by matter in the form of gas; light is emitted when the gas is dragged into the hole. However, the centers of most galaxies are devoid of gas and so are invisible from Earth.

These black holes only become visible when an object such as a star is pulled in. If this happens, the star becomes elongated, first spreading out to form a “banana shape” before its inner edge – orbiting faster than the outer edge – pulls the star into a disc-shape that wraps itself around the hole.

As material drops into the black hole it becomes compressed and releases radiation that is usually visible from Earth for a month or so. Events like these, termed mini-quasars, are incredibly rare – researchers expect one every hundred million years in any one galaxy.

The researchers used some of most powerful ground-based and space-based observatories – the Hubble Space Telescope, the Chandra X-ray Observatory and the Gemini and Keck Telescopes.

With aircraft orders worth more than $50 billion (Dh183.6 billion) at present for more than 250 aircraft, including Boeing 787s, 777s, Airbus A350s, A380s and A320s, Qatar Airways is on an aggressive expansion spree. The airline currently flies to 113 destinations operating a fleet of 108 aircraft.

Besides the planned 11 new routes to be launched this year, the airline also plans to double its US network by starting flights to Atlanta, Chicago, Boston and Detroit within the next year, as Al Baker reportedly said recently. “The only thing that stopped us from going earlier is the delayed delivery of the 787s,” he stated. Once again lashing out at the planemakers, Al Baker said delays in plane deliveries will “stifle the growth opportunities” that the airlines in the Middle East have, and that it poses a huge challenge to the region’s airlines, thereby preventing them from achieving their planned growth. He added that both Airbus and Boeing have “plans that are slipping”.

Calling the European Union’s ETS (emissions trading scheme) as the biggest possible challenge today for the airlines. It is a cover-up for the inefficiencies of the EU’s management of its finances. This is only an indirect way of collecting more taxes — but I don’t know what they will do with all this money — and to cover up the mismanagement that they have been having in their finances for the last couple of decades.

With China on way to becoming an aircraft manufacturing hub in the next 10-15 years, Qatar Airways CEO says he would be keen to look eastwards to buy planes. If the east can make planes that are safe, efficient and state-of-the-art, and meet our requirements, there is nothing wrong with looking at the east for planes. If it suits our requirement, why should we not look at the east for airplanes? Chinese will compete with the existing plane manufacturers at a better price.

• Location: Convenience plays a major role in your success. If it’s not easy to get to the gym, it can be used as an excuse day after day to go straight home after work rather than to the gym. Find a gym that is convenient and easy for you to get to. This will increase your success rate 10 fold. If you’re not going to the gym, you’re not working toward your goals.
• Hours of Operation: Different people enjoy going to the gyms at different times. Are you a night owl? Or do you like to wake up super early and hit the gym before work? It’ll be hard to reach your fitness goals if half the machines in the gym are broken half the year. Also check to make sure the type of equipment matches your training style. Do you prefer to workout with mainly free weights, plate loaded equipment, etc. Also, if you’re a heavy lifter, you may want to check the dumbbell and plate racks to make sure they have enough weight for you to train with. During busy times you may find yourself sharing much of the equipment. Results don’t come from standing around waiting for someone to get off your training station.
• Classes: Get a class schedule and ask if you can try out a class that you might enjoy. Make sure the classes fit into your schedule. Just because they have your favorite class, it won’t do any good if you can’t fit it into your schedule. And be realistic as to whether or not you can make it to class during the scheduled times.
• Fees: Fitting exercise into your budget is important. Shop around to find a gym you can afford. Most gyms are competitive in their cost, so in shopping around, you’ll be able to find the gym that also fits your other requirements. Also, don’t forget that medicare and some insurance plans cover gym membership fees. Ask your insurance company about their policies.

For now, I’m already looking at different medical uniforms in the web where I found Marcus uniform. Lucky for me, they ship internationally so I won’t have to worry about it. It’s really a challenge finding men’s scrubs that are comfortable and masculine. I’ve been through that experience three years ago. That’s why as early as now I’m starting my search so I won’t face difficulty when it’s time to make a purchase.

Early this year, she bought one of those composters and started to make her own fertilizer. She said she wanted to use organic fertilizer for her garden, which I think is great. Using chemical fertilizer will somewhat has adverse effect on the health. But, her effort was wasted when we decided to leave the country. She turned over her garden to the owner of the house because there is no way we can transport everything.

For now, it is not possible to start a new garden because we are living on the 18th floor building. She keeps on telling me she misses her garden and wanted to go home. But, that is not possible for now because she has a contract to finish.

The statistics, from Flurry Analytics, suggested 242 million apps were also downloaded on the same day. The peak time for downloading new apps on Christmas Day was between 7pm and 10pm, the company said. It gathered its data via its analytics tool which monitored downloads and usage of 140,000 apps in both Google’s Android Market and Apple’s App Store. Flurry Analytics did not break down numbers for the individual operating systems. It said the figures showed an increase in activations of 353% when compared to the daily average between 1 and 20 December. App downloads were up 125% over the same period.

For the meantime, figures from IBM Coremetrics suggested that online shopping on Christmas Day was up 16% on last year. It said traffic from mobile devices rose significantly with the iPad leading the way, accounting for 7% of all purchases. James Atkinson, former editor of Mobile magazine, said the activation numbers were particularly impressive for Apple given that many had expected the iPhone 5 to launch ahead of the Christmas break, rather than the revamped iPhone 4S.

Mr Atkinson believed much of the rise is due to smartphones becoming more affordable in the past 12 months. Mr Rubins tweeted earlier in December that, on average, 700,000 Androids were being activated every day – up from 500,000 in June. The Android operating system can be found on a wide range of models produced by many different manufacturers, whereas Apple’s iOS is only found on iPhone, iPad and certain models of its iPod music player. Demand for the iPhone has reached such a level that China-based manufacturer Foxconn is looking to double production to 400,000 units per day, China Daily reported.
