plans for gift giving this Christmas

Wifey had this idea of gift giving this Christmas. Actually it’s not a bad idea after all this is the time of the year where we can practice sharing. The only problem I have is the items to give especially to families. We can’t afford to give each family individual gift for each member. That is way beyond our capacity and budget.

Good thing we found these gifts for Christmas promo, where we have options on affordable set of gadgets under $20, $50 and $100. We just have to carefully select the best items that fit each family. We can get bigger savings from this instead of buying gifts individually.

cupcakes instead of cake

Like I said in my earlier post, I’m also preparing for wifey’s birthday celebration. Now, I’m unsure whether to purchase standard cake or gourmet cupcakes. I know cupcakes are smaller version of cakes so it’s fairly the same. I just like them because serving is a breeze. No one needs to cut anything because it is served individually. Plus, they look cuter and can be arranged creatively. That being said I guess I will go for gourmet cupcakes of Sharis berries.

I will choose the Cupcake sampler from Sharis cupcake collection. The number is perfect plus we can try all three delicious cupcakes in one sampler. It comprises of 8 chocolate on chocolate, 4 vanilla bean and 4 red velvet. The chocolate on chocolate cupcakes feature dark chocolate cake topped with deep chocolate frosting. The vanilla bean cupcakes start with moist, buttery vanilla cake filled with a vanilla bean cream and finished with a buttery vanilla icing. I love watching youtube videos there’s no doubt about it. Actually, it’s one of my pastimes ever since especially when I have free time other than web surfing. But, when internet connection isn’t that good, it’s a pain loading the videos. I don’t have the patience to wait for video to load forever. It only destroys my day when that happens.

For sure, all my roommates are interested in securing their future that’s why they choose to work in a foreign country even though it’s away from their family. It’s the best way they could think to ensure good future for their loved ones. But, I noticed they disregard the thought of purchasing insurance. I haven’t heard them say they are investing in a good insurance. Instead, I keep on hearing the intentions of buying a laptop, cellphone and other gadgets even though their devices are still working in good conditions.

Of course, I don’t want to look nosy for them. So, I just showed the term life insurance information. It is up to them if they are going to read it or not. At least I tried to give them a hint so they won’t be saying they didn’t know about it. I opt for term insurance because it is much cheaper as compared to the whole. It would be a burden on their budget if they spend a lot on insurance. Oh well, I hope they find the information useful.

still want to give the present

It’s quite late to give my brother a birthday present. I know, September 20 is way too over. But, I still intend to give him something just as I promised. I just can’t do it now because I’m really on a tight budget. Visa renewal is taking a lot of my money as well as wifey’s so we have to focus on that matter.

Like I said I still want to give him something. I’m already feeling guilty because I haven’t given him anything years before. I don’t want that to happen this year. It’s better late than never. For now, I’m looking at the funny t shirts I found in the web. It’s really cool and funny just as my brother likes. He loves shirts, no doubt about it, but he really likes those with funny remarks on it. I’m pretty sure he will love it. But, I still have to wait until I receive my first salary before I could make a purchase.

perfect device for her

In some ways, wifey loves to read. She is making an effort to read articles and books. But, her laziness to open a book surpasses her desire to read. So, I thought of giving her something that motivates her to read. Since she likes computers a lot, I think she will enjoy reading in a device. And the perfect device would be kobo wireless ereader.

However, I will have to make this a secret for now since I want to give it on her birthday even though I’m sure she likes to receive a bag. But, I can also give her a bag other than the device, besides I’m pretty sure I’m a working man by that time. So, I will have enough money to buy her things I promised her before. Hopefully, she will like it.

while shopping for business attire

While shopping for business attire last Thursday, wifey also snatch huge chunk of time to look for dresses. There’s no immediate need for it, but she still went on with it. After, we went to the shoe department, then lingerie department where she finds the pastie. This is really something new for her because she used to wearing bra. But, I would say this is perfect for backless tops and dresses.

Basically, she never dared to wear backless before because she doesn’t know what to wear underneath. She knows wearing a bra will ruin the look. But, she can’t also stomach being braless since nipples become visible. With the discovery of this pasties, I’m sure wifey will have the courage to wear sexy backless clothes. She’s even excited to go shopping again. I’m pretty sure this time, we will visit the racks that has backless tops and dresses.

very good therapy towards happiness

I’m really surprised that wifey did go shopping after feeling better from flu. She said it’s a very good therapy towards her happiness that’s why I never dare to contend. I might get a cold treatment if I do so I keep my mouth shut. Of course, it is too tiresome to go to the mall, it might strain her. She goes online shopping for that matter.

One of the brands she is fond of is dereon. Deréon’s designs are in line with the hip-hop and urban culture, but also have an Asian flair. The line of apparel and accessories are a great blend of street and catwalk style…feminine, yet cutting-edge. It’s all about the details, mixing and matching, while incorporating Beyonce’s own flavor and chameleon-like qualities. Wifey is more into this kind of thing especially during weekends where she doesn’t have to worry about heels. Well, I hope everything she bought will really make her happy.

she’s collecting her gift

It’s almost four months since wifey’s sister graduated from college. But, the girl still keeps on asking her graduation gift. Actually, before the event wifey is too busy choosing graduation gift ideas college. But, something came up before the big day that’s why she decided not to give her anything. She understands the situation. However, now that we are relaxed from all the expenses, she is collecting her gift.

Oh well, I guess we can’t say no this time. Even if she is just joking the idea, a part of her wants to receive something. Let’s see, wifey’s choices before are either camera or iPod. I noticed it’s better to give her iPod because she is using her phone as radio. She loves listening to music a lot especially when working out. So, an iPod fits her gift a lot.
