Traditional styles can easily add elegance with floral fabrics, draperies on the window, or gold and silver accents. Use a traditional design to turn your bathroom or toilet area into a sanctuary. Although the result of traditional bathroom decorating can look expensive, you don’t need to buy expensive materials to capture the theme you want.

If your existing bathroom already has a traditional theme, you can update the look and feel of the room by going for contemporary designs. Contemporary bathroom decorating involves clean lines, smooth finishes, steel, and bold color. Include wood finishes, stones tiles, and textures to provide a calming accent. The simple fixtures and accessories result in a dramatic overall look for the bathroom.

cupcakes instead of cake

Like I said in my earlier post, I’m also preparing for wifey’s birthday celebration. Now, I’m unsure whether to purchase standard cake or gourmet cupcakes. I know cupcakes are smaller version of cakes so it’s fairly the same. I just like them because serving is a breeze. No one needs to cut anything because it is served individually. Plus, they look cuter and can be arranged creatively. That being said I guess I will go for gourmet cupcakes of Sharis berries.

I will choose the Cupcake sampler from Sharis cupcake collection. The number is perfect plus we can try all three delicious cupcakes in one sampler. It comprises of 8 chocolate on chocolate, 4 vanilla bean and 4 red velvet. The chocolate on chocolate cupcakes feature dark chocolate cake topped with deep chocolate frosting. The vanilla bean cupcakes start with moist, buttery vanilla cake filled with a vanilla bean cream and finished with a buttery vanilla icing. Red Velvet cupcakes are made with an all-natural deep red cake with a creamy chocolate truffle center and cream cheese-buttermilk fluff frosting. I find it much better than having one regular cake for her special day.

vision for my future backyard

The weather is quite cold last night, without rain, which is perfect for outdoor hang out. But, since we don’t have an outdoor firepit, we can’t stay out. I thought it would be nice to have one especially on such weather. So, I created a vision for my future backyard landscape. It should be have a nice garden and furnished with patio furniture and outdoor fireplace. We can invite friends and family to come along and hang out whenever we want. But, I guess that will take a long time before it will happen.

For now, I will just enjoy whatever we have. I still need to save some more before I can buy my own house. Good thing, watching movies inside our room is still enjoyable although it’s quite mundane sometimes.

step tool solve height issues

It’s indeed difficult for people not blessed with height to pick something placed on higher area. That is the reason Maya is dependent on us for that matter. She continually makes that kind of request, which irritates me quite often. I’m also busy doing other things. Sometimes, she is asking me when I need an utmost concentration, which I will lose subsequently.

Wifey said to solve my problem I will need to buy step stools for adults; one for the kitchen and one for some other places. That way, she will no longer have to bother me or wifey to get something for her. She can just do the task herself any time and anywhere without our help. It gives her the independence she needs.

Oh well, I’d better start looking for that tool to put an end of her constant request.

greatly helps remove snow

Some parts of the world is still experiencing large amount of snow fall these times. I’m just happy we just have heavy rains, so the temperature isn’t too cold just enough to give us some relief. But, it’s not the same feeling for those countries with winter. They have to deal with the very cold temperature. Other than that they also have to deal with the thick snow in their backyard.

The good news, snow blowers are already invented. It greatly helps remove snow from the backyard without experiencing back pains. It is a lot better than using shovels that entails a lot of energy. For those who already own snow blowers there are lots of ariens snowblower parts that are available in wisesale store.

finding ways to keep food from spoiling

We have been having problems over food storage. This happens not too long ago. It started when Maya had so many spoil foods inside the containers. Afterward, the food we kept eventually spoils even after few hours inside the fridge. I guess the containers got contaminated and we have no clue which one is the culprit. It would be a waste to throw all the plastic containers. That’s why I want to find some ways to keep the food from spoiling.

Anyway, if nothing happens from it, then we have no choice. We really need to change all the plastic containers we have. It is still much cost effective that way, rather than having spoiled food leftovers all the time. If that happens, I just wish Maya won’t keep her leftovers for a very long time.

We are greatly thinking of the best possible way to protect the door especially at the kitchen area. Most of the time, we just kick the door to open instead of putting the goods we carry. It is much practical that way. However, doing it takes a toll onto the door. It easily gets scratch and crack. We end up having to change doors oftentimes.

Fortunately, while surfing the web I came across door kick plate. I never thought about it even before. Actually, it is the first time I heard about it. Basically, a door kick plate is a solid sheet of protective plate of metal or plastic that is installed along the bottom for looks and protection. With it installed in our kitchen, I won’t have to worry about people kicking the door. The kick plate will do the job of protecting the door from damage.

mom has big, but tiny problem

I was waiting in line yesterday to join the jobs fair when mom called up. Even though I feel a little awkward answering the phone with all those people around, I did pick it up. Ever since last year, I already had a plan to buy Samsung HDTV. But, until now that did not happen. Honestly, I was able to save enough money for a lot of times. But I end up buying things other than the tv because I always lose my focus especially if there is a sale. I will end up spending my money on things that are unplanned.

I guess it has something to do with our uncertain residence as well. We are always on the move as we are still checking some places. At times we have to move from coast to coast. Investing on big stuff is not too practical and advisable. I think the only time I can make it a reality is when we will buy a house that we can call our own. For now all I can do is to save and wait until that time comes.
