Aug 2010 offers more Sundays to travel

One of wifey’s friends posted a very interesting fact on her facebook account. This year Aug 2010 is the month where there are 5 Sundays, 5 Mondays, and 5 Tuesdays all in one month. And, it only happens once in 823 years. Isn’t that amazing?

Well, this means that families can enjoy five Sundays of RV travelling. It means more time to bond, grill food, sightseeing and so much more. All they need is to have the right rv repairs assistance.

We all know mechanical breakdown can happen any time, anywhere and at the most unexpected time. Labor and parts of RV repair costs a lot these days. But, these can be aided with the right mechanical breakdown insurance that will cover these costs.

the kid is asking for a birthday gift

Last two days wifey’s youngest sibling celebrated his 11th birthday. Since he is the youngest, he expects that his four older siblings will give him gifts; that’s the way I look at it. LOL! Actually, he really asked for it. He sends us a text message asking for his presents.

Wifey is oceans away from them, but intends to give him books and PS3 games. But, she doesn’t know the games that he might like. Also, she is certain that the kid already collected a number of games as his allowance goes to those games most of the time. Buying the same game is a waste of money. Wifey doesn’t want to ask him as it defeats the purpose of gift giving. So, she decided to give him a gift when she gets home. I wonder what that could be.

supplementing nutritional needs of baby

During pregnancy, a mother is advice to take the best prenatal vitamins she could find. This will help supplement her nutritional needs as well as her baby. These are specially formulated multivitamins that make up for any nutritional deficiencies in the mothers diet.

At this stage, the mother’s body has less of its regular supply of vitamins and minerals. Birth defects can be prevented if the mother takes vitamins that are rich in folic acid, iron, and calcium months before and during pregnancy.

  • Folic acid is one of the minerals that have been shown to decreases occurrence of serious neural tube defects such as spina bifida.
  • Calcium is essential for the developing bone growth of the unborn child. But, keep in mind that not all prenatal vitamins contain the adequate amount of calcium. So, it’s better to pay close attention to calcium content in prenatal vitamin supplements.
  • Iron helps both the mother and baby’s blood carry oxygen. Iron deficiencies can lead to severe birth defects for the baby as well as other complications for the mother.

Prenatal vitamins are an excellent way to insure adequate nutrition and prevent birth defects. However, it is not a good substitute for a healthy diet. Expectant mothers should be consuming nutritional foods in greater amounts.
