Bedtime is very important for babies. Studies have shown that sleep helps with babies cognitive and body development. However, medical studies show that 25 to 30 percent of babies have sleep problems. These usually include resistance to and difficulty falling asleep, irregular sleep patterns and night terrors. If sleep for babies is interrupted, then there may be a change in the cycle of, for example, the release of hormones that are needed for baby to grow up optimally. So make a nightly date with your baby and help him get his much-needed sleep and mommy-baby bonding.
