Even before, wifey always wanted to have a nice garden in the yard. So, back in our home country, she created a small space and started one. She planted seeds of different flowering plants as well as fruit bearing plants. For three years, she maintained that garden diligently. She was able to reap some fruits of that garden like her tomato.
Early this year, she bought one of those composters and started to make her own fertilizer. She said she wanted to use organic fertilizer for her garden, which I think is great. Using chemical fertilizer will somewhat has adverse effect on the health. But, her effort was wasted when we decided to leave the country. She turned over her garden to the owner of the house because there is no way we can transport everything.
For now, it is not possible to start a new garden because we are living on the 18th floor building. She keeps on telling me she misses her garden and wanted to go home. But, that is not possible for now because she has a contract to finish.

Google has revealed that more than 3.7m Android devices were activated over the Christmas weekend. The detail was tweeted by the company’s senior vice president of mobile, Andy Rubin. Independent estimates suggested 6.8 million Android or Apple iOS devices were activated on Christmas Day – more than double last year’s number. While, industry experts believe the rise is partly because entry-level smartphones have become cheaper.
The statistics, from Flurry Analytics, suggested 242 million apps were also downloaded on the same day. The peak time for downloading new apps on Christmas Day was between 7pm and 10pm, the company said. It gathered its data via its analytics tool which monitored downloads and usage of 140,000 apps in both Google’s Android Market and Apple’s App Store. Flurry Analytics did not break down numbers for the individual operating systems. It said the figures showed an increase in activations of 353% when compared to the daily average between 1 and 20 December. App downloads were up 125% over the same period.
For the meantime, figures from IBM Coremetrics suggested that online shopping on Christmas Day was up 16% on last year. It said traffic from mobile devices rose significantly with the iPad leading the way, accounting for 7% of all purchases. James Atkinson, former editor of Mobile magazine, said the activation numbers were particularly impressive for Apple given that many had expected the iPhone 5 to launch ahead of the Christmas break, rather than the revamped iPhone 4S. Wifey had this idea of gift giving this Christmas. Actually it’s not a bad idea after all this is the time of the year where we can practice sharing. The only problem I have is the items to give especially to families. We can’t afford to give each family individual gift for each member. That is way beyond our capacity and budget.
Good thing we found these gifts for Christmas promo, where we have options on affordable set of gadgets under $20, $50 and $100. We just have to carefully select the best items that fit each family. We can get bigger savings from this instead of buying gifts individually.

Currently I am watching television while surfing the web. Fortunately, I’m tune in Discovery channel’s “How Do They Do It.” Well, it’s not all the time I get to know the process of making eyelash growth products. This ordinary and mostly use item for women doesn’t get much attention. That’s why I feel good whenever I watch something like this. At least I know how they do it.
Anyhow, I’ll continue watching the rest of the program. Good thing, its advertisement time I was able to write this small post until it resumes. Afterward, I’ll cook for my lunch coz’ it’s getting late already. Hopefully, I can get back here to continue updating this blog.

These days, a lot of people are under nourished, which is due to the fast pace lifestyle we are living. Most people would opt not for the fast food rather than cooking healthy dish. It’s not a surprised because we often stick a lot of things in one day living only little time or nothing to cooking. Like I said in my earlier post, I’m also preparing for wifey’s birthday celebration. Now, I’m unsure whether to purchase standard cake or gourmet cupcakes. I know cupcakes are smaller version of cakes so it’s fairly the same. I just like them because serving is a breeze. No one needs to cut anything because it is served individually. Plus, they look cuter and can be arranged creatively. That being said I guess I will go for gourmet cupcakes of Sharis berries.
I will choose the Cupcake sampler from Sharis cupcake collection. The number is perfect plus we can try all three delicious cupcakes in one sampler. It comprises of 8 chocolate on chocolate, 4 vanilla bean and 4 red velvet. The chocolate on chocolate cupcakes feature dark chocolate cake topped with deep chocolate frosting. The vanilla bean cupcakes start with moist, buttery vanilla cake filled with a vanilla bean cream and finished with a buttery vanilla icing. Red Velvet cupcakes are made with an all-natural deep red cake with a creamy chocolate truffle center and cream cheese-buttermilk fluff frosting. I find it much better than having one regular cake for her special day.
